Jim Wyckoff, a senior market analyst for TradingEducation.com, has been involved with the stock, financial and futures markets for more than 20 years. He was a financial journalist with Futures World News for many years, cutting his teeth as a reporter on the futures trading floors in Chicago and New York, where he covered every futures market traded in the United States at one time or another. He continues to cover all markets with his daily commentaries and weekly newsletter. His extensive studies of technical analysis and knowledge of markets led to several positions, including chief technical analyst at several well-known companies. He says his mission is not just to generate profits for traders but to also provide them with educational and insightful information “because, in the fascinating business of trading, one never stops learning.”
John Ehlers is the author of the MESA program, SIERRA HOTEL and MESA BONDS adaptive trading systems and co-author of the R-MESA #1 S&P daytrader. He has degrees in electrical engineering and has retired as a Senior Engineering Fellow with one of the largest aerospace companies. A private trader since 1976, he started with fundamental analysis but, with his engineering training, quickly gravitated to technical analysis. Ehlers discovered Maximum Entropy Spectrum Analysis (MESA) while attending an information theory seminar in 1978 and quickly reduced the theory to a computer program useful for trading, starting with the earliest personal computers and enhancing the program as computers improved. His unique approach involves extensive testing on theoretical waveforms before testing against real-world data is attempted.
Denise Shull, a short-term trader since 1994 and a member of CME group, is also in demand as a speaker on the subject of advanced trader psychology. Her experience trading equities, indices and futures combined with her experience running a trading desk for an NYSE firm infuses the message of her firm, Trader Psyches, with the ring of real-world experience. Currently finishing her first book, Denise also coaches experienced traders and hedge fund managers in the techniques of emotional awareness and management.
